"Is It Safe To Breathe In Now?"
This talk is about the provision of the atmosphere inside a modern passenger airliner. The technical aspects are explained in lay terms. The possible risks and problems are dealt with in a sympathetic way to balance journalistic fantasy.
Illustrated by PowerPoint presentation. Talk lasts 40-60 minutes. Suitable for either lay audiences, or those with an engineering background.

Visual aids required: none, but a screen would be helpful.
Fee £20 + fuel expenses. Speaker can travel from

"Building a Railway in Your Garden – a Personal View "
This talk is about the 'Little Orchard Railway' which opened in May 2007: this is an end-to-end 7.1/4" ga. railway with turntables and run-round loops at each station, with an up and down line in between with a small amount of single line working. There is approx 700 ft of track.
Talk lasts 60 minutes. Visual aids required: DVD player and large screen: a flip chart would also be helpful. Speaker will travel up to 75 miles from
Bury St Edmunds, further distances by arrangement. No fee expected, expenses only.
