The talk, based on comments/questions from model engineers, lasts approx 100 minutes. It covers the history and scope of the process, principles to follow to ensure sound joints, alloy development and selection, health & safety, problem solving and a few tips to smooth things along. Speaker will bring along a range of products which are offered for sale at discounted exhibition prices.
Visual aids needed: none. Speaker requires an easel and a glass of water. Speaker will travel up to 100 miles from Chesterfield, Derbyshire: further distances by arrangement. No fee expected, expenses only. |

“The Life and Times of LBSC” |

This talk, entitled "The Life and Times of LBSC" lasts for an hour and runs through the life of model engineer and journalist "Curly" Lawrence: it is set in context and looks at the highs and lows of his career. Speaker can also provide a visual LBSC related quiz for any tea break! Visual aids needed: Overhead projector (with spare bulb — a must!) and screen. Speaker will travel up to 50 miles from Tonbridge, Kent: further distances by arrangement. No fee expected, expenses only. |
