“The Bluebell Railway” |
|
This talk describes the origins and history of the Bluebell Railway since 1960. Illustrated by slides taken over the 40 years of the preservation society’s existence. Talk can be from 1 hour up to a maximum of 2 hours.
Visual aids needed: none. Speaker has his own 35mm projector and screen. |

“Strong Rubber Bands” |
|
This talk is a canter through Royal Naval fixed wing flying prior to the Sea Harrier with emphasis on the flight deck machinery involved, i.e., steam catapult and arresting gear. Visual aids needed: Overhead projector (with spare bulb — a must!)and screen. Speaker will travel up to 50 miles from Andover, Hants: further distances by arrangement. No fee expected, expenses only, but a donation to the Bluebell Railway will be requested. |

Doug has created the drawings and parts for this excellent model, the building of which was described in EIM from July 1999. 1 hour. Requirements: No visual aids required. Speaker prefers a prompt 7.30 p.m. start and will travel up to about 150 miles from Barnetby-le-Wold (North Lincs), further distances (requiring overnight stop) by arrangement. No fee expected, expenses only. |
